Privacy policy
This site is a personal, non-commercial project. The goal is to be transparent about what runs when you use it.
What this site does not do
Fields of History does not sell your personal information. There is no account system on this site as shipped, and no deliberate effort to build individual profiles of visitors for marketing.
Hosting and technical processing
Like most websites, the hosting provider (for example Vercel or similar) may process standard technical data when you request a page: for example IP address, timestamps, and browser type, as part of operating and securing the service. That processing is governed by the provider’s policies.
Maps (Mapbox)
Map views are provided by Mapbox. When a map loads, Mapbox may process technical data needed to deliver tiles and comply with their service. See Mapbox’s privacy documentation for details. Map attribution appears on the map itself where enabled.
Content API
Articles and media are loaded from a headless CMS (Directus). Requests from this site to that API are server-side or client-side as implemented; your use of the public pages does not require you to create an account with the CMS.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the project evolves. The “Last updated” note at the bottom reflects the latest substantive revision.
