RAF Waddington
RAF Waddington is a Royal Air Force station in Lincolnshire, England, operating continuously since 1916. During World War II it was a major bomber base famous for night raids over Germany, and in the Cold War it became a V-bomber base housing Avro Vulcan nuclear deterrent aircraft. Today it hosts RAF's intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft, and remains one of the most operationally active stations in the United Kingdom.
